We are an organization run by volunteers who've dedicated themselves to building the NYTBF to provide additional angling opportunities for bass fisherman within the NE region. Annual membership is required for participation in our events. If you bring a boat to our events and it meets the minimum requirements outlined in our tournament rules and you provide proof of $300,000 liability insurance, then you will fish out of your boat. All of our tournaments are draw tournaments that randomly pair boaters and co-anglers (non-boaters) for eight hours of fishing.
Boater Entry Fees: $100.00 and Co-Angler Entry Fee: $60 (PayPal Fee is an additional $3); each compete within their own category for prize money and the daily lunker (Big Bass) award. If we have more Co-Anglers than Boaters sign up for an event then priority entry goes to the Co-Angler with the earliest paid entry fee, and all others will receive priority entry into the next point event or receive a refund upon request.
Annual individual membership dues are $70 mailed in or $73 paid via PayPal. This breaks down to $35 to FLW, $15 to National TBF and $20 to NYTBF, ($3 PayPal processing fee if appplicable)
At eligible tournaments, all anglers compete for points to see who'll win the coveted NYTBF Angler of the Year (AOY) title in their respective category. Points are awarded on a one (1) point decreasing scale, 1st place =100, 2nd place =99, 3rd place =98 and so on. At the end of the regular season to include the Two-Day State Team Championship, the Boater and Co-Angler AOY winners are annnounced and they earn automatic berths onto the 2016 NYTBF 12-Man Eastern Divisional Team. In addition they also receive the following year's membership dues and tournament entry fees paid in full.
The remaining slots on the 2016 NYTBF 12-Man Eastern Divisional Team will be determined at the annual Two-Day State Championship Tournament with anglers placing 1-10 competing and places 11 & 12 serve as the designated alternates.
We also offer three Team Tournaments allowing interested anglers the opporuntity to fish with a friend and sample our events. However, if you join the NYTBF before the team event and win then your team is invited to fish the end of season state championship tournament on Oct 1 & 2 out of Clayton NY. Or you can fish all three team events and you're eligible to fish the end of season state championship.
Our Tournament Director is Dave Suttle. If you have any tournament questions please contact Dave.
Military Exemption available so our fighting force can fish the End of Season Two-Day State Championship.
